The Basketball Federation of Serbia & Montenegro (KSSCG) will soon be looking for a new president after current incumbent Miodrag Babic offered his resignation at a recent executive board meeting in Belgrade.

The offer is expected to be accepted by the KSSCG's General Assembly at a meeting later this month.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric is fed up with being raked over the coals for Serbia & Montenegro's EuroBasket failure and has blasted coach Zeljko Obradovic for not standing by the players.

A proud hoops nation, hosts for the glamorous event, was left stunned as the two-time defending world champions lost 74-71 in the elimination round and Obradovic revealed afterwards that Jaric's poor relationship with fellow playmaker Igor Rakocevic had been the biggest problem.

Yugoslavian great Zoran Savic has defended embattled coach Zeljko Obradovic in the wake of Serbia & Montenegro's failure at the EuroBasket.

The former power forward has also blamed the team's early exit from the competition on the country's reluctance to blood new players for the event.
