PLAYER PROFILE

Vladimir Radmanovic

Career: Crvena zvezda (Yugoslavia-YUBA,1998-00), FMP Zeleznik (Yugoslavia-YUBA 2001), selected by the Seattle Supersonics in the first round (12th pick overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft (NBA, Seattle Supersonics 2001-…)

One of the “Plavi’s” all-around players. Great athletic abilities, quick, strong, explosive leaping ability. The ability to play almost anywhere on the court is his biggest quality and he is a true representative of the modern player so highly rated in the USA. One of the NBA’s best long distance shooters, is also a great offensive rebounder. After only three years experience in the YUBA league, he left to the NBA (Seattle Supersonics) but proved himself and was named to the 2001-02 All-Rookie second team. During the World Championships in 2002 he had a conflict with Yugoslavia coach, Svetislav Pesic, and was the only player who didn’t receive a gold medal. He got one, four years earlier at the U20 European championship for Men. Was a contestant at last season’s NBA All star weekend 3-point shootout.
