Career: Partizan Beograd (Serbia & Montenegro-YUBA League-2001-04), New Jersey Nets (USA-NBA, 2004-07). Selected in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft (#24) by the New Jersey Nets

When one looks at the career of Nenad Krstic, it would be easy to say the kid from Kraljevo has been lucky. He played for the same team as his childhood idol Vlade Divac and followed a similar road, moving to Partizan Belgrade where he played for three seasons in YUBA and the Euroleague. While with Partizan, he was spotted by numerous NBA scouts. He was soon drafted by the Nets, who threw him right into the action. Krstic responded with two and a half excellent seasons in a league where skilled big men were becoming hard to find. The 24-year-old started his third year in the NBA by posting career-high numbers, but his fate turned and he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Serbia badly needs his big body and soft touch, but it would be a miracle if Krstic were to show up for EuroBasket.
