Ural-Great Perm lost the superlative skills of Lithuanian star Ksistof Lavrinovic when he signed for CSKA earlier this summer but the recruitment of Russian veteran Mikhail Mikhaylov on Wednesday will help ease any disappointment.
The 33-year-old international center has signed a one-year contract after moving from Spanish side Kaja San-Fernando between 2002 and 2004.
It will be Mikhaylov’s second spell in Perm after he played for the club between 2000 and 2002 helping them twice win the Russian championship.
Mikhaylov told the club’s official website: “I have individual training sessions now as the coaches let me rest from playing exercises. There is a very nice atmosphere in the team - very friendly and hardworking.”
