 Fatih Solak

Career: Kayseri Meysu (Turkey-TBL, 1997-98), Ülker (Turkey-TBL, 1998-2001), Beşiktaş (Turkey-TBL, 2001-02), Ülker (Turkey-TBL, 2002-05), Galatasaray CafeCrown(Turkey-TBL, 2005-07)

Solak does one thing and he does it well: blocks shots. Not surprising considering his size (2.13 m), his long wingspan and tremendous timing. The 27-year-old is the main reason why Tanjeviç has implemented a 1-3-1 zone defense into the system. Solak is in the middle of the 1-3-1 and he is deadly. He changes everything in the paint, but that pretty much sums up his role. He is lost on offense and has a limited repertoire of moves thanks in large part to the fact that he has fallen in love with his ability to block shots and thinks little of offense. He also lacks consistency, but he is such an important weapon and a game changer that he is utilised to alter the game.
