Career: Estudiantes Madrid (Spain-ACB, 1998-2004), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2004-07)
Felipe Reyes only played four games at the 2006 World Championship because of injury, but he had a key performance in the gold medal game. The success helped him to gain confidence and he played his best pro season so far, leading Real Madrid to a ULEB Cup title and to notable success in domestic competition. Reyes is now ready to take a more important role with the National Team and may even make the starting line-up due to Garbajosa’s injury. Reyes, the younger brother of the legendary Alfonso, grew up as a rebounding ace and is very aggressive and intense but has typically been offensively limited. Over the years, though, he has improved and now features a variety of offensive moves. |
