Career: Joventut (Spain-EBA, 1999-00), Tau Ceramica (Spain-ACB, 2000-...). Sergi Vidal made a dream come true this summer by joining the senior national team, an honour he has earned due to his hard work and year-by-year improvement. He was not the best player of his generation, didn’t even make it into the famous “Golden Junior” team back in 1999, but grew up alongside Dusko Ivanovic and TAU Ceramica, where he has been playing since 2000. Vidal is now one of the best domestic players in the Spanish league. When he was still a teenager, Vidal understood that he needed to play defense and work hard to make it to the highest level... and he did. He has never been afraid to guard the opponents’ stars, or to take responsibility in offense when necessary. He has developed into a key player for Euroleague runner up TAU Ceramica. |
