Alba Berlin's Mithat Demirel has been voted Bundesliga player of the year.

Demirel provided the spark for Alba’s league and cup winning season last term and he collected a bronze medal with Germany at the World Championships in Indianapolis.

Runners-up were BJ McKie of TBB Trier and Demirel`s club-mate, Jovo Stanojevic.
Demirel is currently with the German team preparing for the European Championships in Sweden next month.
