France superstar Tony Parker is to join the national team in Levallois on Thursday where Les Bleus are preparing for their EuroBasket 2009 qualifying games.
The country's basketball federation has released a statement to say the San Antonio Spurs playmaker will be in the 15-strong French group that is warming up for Division A, Group C games against Ukraine, Belgium and Turkey.
France's first game is at home in Nancy against Belgium on September 3.
France coach Michel Gomez and Parker will hold a press conference later in the day to confirm if Parker will play in the qualifying clashes.
In June, Parker ruled himself out the Division A games but Gomez, who was short on point guards after an Achilles injury ruled Joseph Gomis out for the summer, asked the NBA player to reconsider.
At the time, Gomez had said to L'Equipe: "Tony is too attached to the national team.
"I have put to him the situation concerning the team and the adversities we know, especially in the role of point guard with Joseph Gomis out.
"Tony has asked me to include his name in the list of the national team. He will be present in our opening stage in Vichy but he will not train.
"In the case of new physical problems, we could eventually consider calling him."
Sacha Giffa, meanwhile, will not be in Levallois because of injury and his participation in the qualifying games is in doubt.
