PLAYER PROFILE

Career: Sparta Prague (Czech Republic-NBL, 1999-2006), Joventut Badalona (Spain-Lega, 2006-07)

Dousa comes from a famous Czech basketball family. His father Zdenek played in three Olympic Games and World Championships while his mother, Hana (born with the surname Jarosova) was a star of the National Team and a top European class player as well.  Dousa’s older brother David is a player for the Czech club BK Sadska at present. Spanish giant, Joventut Badalona, acquired the 2.19 m tall center from Sparta Prague last year. He spent most of the time in the youth team and waited for his chance to get into ACB action. Dousa is very strong physically, a superb athlete, has a huge wingspan and he runs the floor well. This rare talent has worked very hard this season although it doesn't appear in his stats (5.6 ppg and 3.4 rpg in LEB2), but the potential is there. With more game action Dousa could become a force but this summer he may be relegated to the bench.
