Career: BVV Brno (Czech Republic-NBL, 1996-2003), Mlekarna Kunin (Czech Republic-NBL, 2003-07) David Hajek is a workman like player whose main contribution to the team typically comes on the defensive end of the floor. This 2.01 m power forward has spent most of his career at Brno, but in 2003 he decided to move to the North of the Czech Republic, signing with Mlekarna Kunin Novy Jicin. The move was a good one as he played in three consecutive finals against Czech Republic "monster", Nymburk. Playing for Mlekarna Kunin also resulted in an invitation to join the National Team for the successful Qualifying campaign on their way to EuroBasket 2007. Hajek loves having the ball in his hands. He became the Czech Republic Streetball Champion and is also an excellent beach-volley player. Hajek’s weakness is his shooting touch, in nine seasons in NBL, Hajek only once averaged more then 10 ppg. |
