Milwaukee Bucks star Jiri Welsch has joined the Czech national team's four-day training camp as they begin preparations for additional qualifying for the EuroBasket in September.

The Czech squad are in the city of Opava ahead of friendly matches with Sweden, Russia and a tournament in Portugal before additional qualifying begins in Estonia on August 19.

Lubos Barton, Ondrej Starosta and naturalised American Maurice Whitfield will all miss the training camp but are expected to join the squad next week.
