Career: BC Red Star Belgrade (Serbia-Montenegro – YUBA League, 1997-99); Igokea Aleksandrovac (Bosnia-First Division, 1999-2002); Buducnost Podgorica (Serbia-Montenegro – YUBA League, 2002-03); Bosna Sarajevo (Bosnia-First Division, 2003-…) Kovacevic is a prototype Balkan do-it-all forward, who should contribute with some scoring and defense to the Bosnian squad. His role will probably not be as significant as in his team Bosna, with which he earned the title of Bosnian league MVP in 2004, but more as an instant scorer and defender from the bench. At 28 years of age, he is one of the most experienced players in the team. He played one Euroleague season, in 2002-03, with Buducnost, but with a limited role (4.2 ppg). Averaged 6.5 points per game with Bosna Sarajevo last season in the Adriatic league. |
