Vlodimir Gurtovoy could be facing a ban after failing to turn up to a training session with the Ukrainian national team.

The Azovmash Mariupol centre was selected by national coach Hennadiy Zaschuk for the squad ahead of their European Championship qualifiers next month.

However, Gurtovoy has yet to get in touch or offer an explanation as to why he missed the training session, according to Zaschuk.

"I did not speak to Gurtovoy now, and he did not arrive at the training camp yet," the coach told Komanda.

Zaschuk has now filed a report to the Ukrainian basketball Federation which could result in a suspension for Gurtovoy.
