 Croatia: Marino To Miss EuroBasket

08.09.2005

Croatia shooting guard Marino Bazdaric has been ruled out of the upcoming EuroBasket because of injury.

The 26-year-old Cibona ace is suffering from a wrist problem and has been told to rest for at least four weeks, ending any hope of him playing in Serbia & Montenegro with the tournament starting on September 16.

Croatia coach Neven Spahija has yet to name a replacement but Damir Rancic is a possibility.

Croatia have been drawn in Group B alongside Turkey, Lithuania and Bulgaria, who they open against in Podgorica on Friday week.
