PLAYER PROFILE

Career: Koper (Slovenia, 2000-2003), Pivovarna Lasko (Slovenia, 2003-05), Hemofarm Vrsac (Serbia-Montenegro, 2005-…).

Shooting guard Nebojsa Joksimovic was largely unknown, beyond the borders of his native Slovenia, until last season. In his second season with Pivovarna Lasko, he also discovered European competition for the first time. And Nebojsa wasn’t impressed: he led him team in the ULEB Cup in scoring, posting 15.3 points a game, displaying his offensive talent. Nebojsa does not maybe have NBA potential, but who cares, since there are plenty of teams in Europe who are interested in his shooting and physical abilities: Adriatic League champion and Serbo-Montenegrin league vice-champion, Hemofarm Vrsac, was the quickest and signed him this summer. Nebojsa will face tough competition under Ales Pipan to join the top twelve in the national team, but hopes to play in Belgrade in September.
