PLAYER PROFILE

Career: Atletas Kaunas (Lithuania-2nd Div. 2000-01). Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL. 2001-…).

Remember that name. With the departure of Dainius Salenga and Mindaugas Timinskas from Zalgiris Kaunas, Serapinas is expected to become their key-player. And maybe, also, in the national team. Last season, he had to spend two months on the injured list but, for his very first game in Euroleague that year, that versatile and gifted swingman made a terrific impression in Maccabi Tel Aviv's arena. He sank two straight three-pointers to push the reigning champion away in the first half, and another one to increase the gap in the second half. He finished with 13 points and Kaunas won. For the whole season, Serapinas averaged 4.6ppg in the Euroleague and 9.4ppg in the LKL. He was one of the last two players cut from the Olympic squad in 2004.
