Estonia coach coach Tiit Sokk blamed a combination of factors for his team's 94-61 hammering against Latvia in the Baltic tournament.

The Estonians had won their previous game against Latvia 86-68 as they prepare for the European Championship qualifiers.

"It was not just one part of our game that was weak, Latvia were better than us in everything. They showed their class. Our players either do not have it or did not want to show it for some reason," Sokk told Eesti Paevaleht.

However Sokk was forced to admit his side aided their own downfall by committing so many mistakes.

"Our team leaders did not play well and it was evident the whole team had trouble concentrating," he added.

But captain Martin Muursepp, who has been heavily criticised for his performances in the friendlies, believes the whole team has to play well rather than just one or two.

"When five men are playing - everyone has to think about their roles. I am a part of a team. People often ask me whether I was happy with the way I played. I only care about one thing - that the team wins."

Estonia will begin their qualifying campaign on Friday against the Czech Republic who are regarded as one of the favourites for the title and Sokk knows they will face a difficult task.

"It will be very hard," Sokk told SL Ohtuleht.
