Rising Spanish star Sergio Rodriguez would realise a dream if he made the Spanish national team and played at an Olympic Games.
And it would be even better, he says, if he captured a gold medal on home soil.
"If we played in Madrid, it would see all my dreams come true; it is the most any sportsman can aspire to," he said.

"I will be 26 years old in eight years and if I am lucky with injuries, and I continue to make progress as I have done up to now, then I hope to be in the Olympic team," he said.
The point guard stands a pretty good chance of being on the team in 2012. He was the most valuable player of the U18 European Championships this summer after leading Spain to the title in Zaragoza and he has quickly established himself in the team at Estudiantes.
Rodriguez will find it difficult to make the team for next summer, although he does have a chance of playing at FIBA World Championship 2006.
The national side in Greece played as if they would win the gold medal but after prevailing in all of their preliminary round games, they slipped up against the United States in the quarter-finals.
"Spain have got a quality side that is well balanced and we can aspire for anything," Rodrigues said.
"I would give everything to get up on the podium in Madrid."
