PLAYER PROFILE

Career: Tcherno More Varna (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2001-03), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2003-04), Avtodor Saratov (Russia-Superleague, 2004), Tcherno More Varna (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2004-…).

Like his twin, he can play both the power forward and the center position. Like his twin, he enjoys sending a few bombs from behind the arc. When you do not know them, it is really difficult to tell the difference… At the 2005 Under 20 European Championship (Division B), Deyan was the best scorer and rebounder of the final against Hungary (24 points and 10 rebounds). Overall, he averaged 17.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He had been even more impressive at the 2004 Under 18 European Championship, in Zaragoza, the second best scorer of the competition (20.4 ppg and 9.6 rpg). After a short stay in Russia, he went back to Tcherno More Varna at mid-season (10.3 ppg in 21 games).
