Career: Luz Bielawa (Poland-Youth Teams, 1997-2000), Slask Wroclaw (Poland-Div. 1, 1999-2006), Polpak Swiecie (Poland-Div. 1, 2006-07)
Skibniewski grew up as a player at Slask Wroclaw and took his first professional steps under Urlep's watchful gaze. During the last two seasons he established himself as one of the best point guards in the Polish league with his excellent peripheral vision which leads to unexpected and surprising assists. Fans love him for his strong character. They do not care about his lack of speed or the fact that he can’t dunk. He makes up for it with spectacular assists and unpredictable three-point shots. Skibniewski is not very strong physically but is ready to prove in EuroBasket that he can play well not only in the Polish league, but also in Europe. |
