PLAYER PROFILE

Marko Tomas

Career: KK Zagreb (Croatia-A-1, 2000-05), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2005-07)

Marko Tomas’s name is familiar to every NBA scout for over the last five years. In a KK Zagreb uniform, as soon as he turned 17, he was their best player and one of the team top scorers, passers and defenders.  At only 20, Tomas was recruited by Boja Maljkovic at Real Madrid but he has failed to become the key player that everybody expected him to be. Tomas is tall, strong, an excellent shooter and a tough defender. He can play both shooting guard and small forward but in his last two seasons with Real, Tomas seems to have lost confidence, especially in his shooting touch. Though he has become a more reliable player on defense, Repesa will probably use him to guard the opponents' toughest player.
