 Vasileios Spanoulis

Career: G.C. Larissa (Greece-A2, 1994-98), Keravnos Larissa (Greece-4th Division, 1998-99), G.C. Larissa (Greece-A2, 1999-2001), Maroussi (Greece-ESAKE, 2001-05), Panathinaikos (Greece-ESAKE, 2005-06), Houston Rockets (NBA-USA 2006-07). Selected in the second round of the 2004 NBA draft (#50), by the Dallas Mavericks and rights traded to the Houston Rockets

“Kill Bill” had imagined his first season in the NBA in a different way, but the league proved to be a tough lesson in his career. The 25-year-old spent most of his time on the bench in Houston, but never stopped working to improve his game. In European basketball, he has nothing more to prove as he was named the best sixth man of the Euroleague two seasons ago and was one of the key players in the Greece’s victory over Team USA in Japan last summer. His goal now is to prove that he can earn a place in the Rocket’s line-up on a daily basis. Spanoulis has a blog on a Greek website which focuses on his life and career in Houston and he can't wait to meet up with his teammates in Spain.
