Slovenian international Erazem Lorbek has been so prolific of late that even NBA legend Larry Bird has noticed.

Lorbek, who poured in a game high of 24 points to lead Climamio Bologna to a decisive Euroleague victory over Zalgiris Kaunas on Wednesday, has already announced his intention to enter the NBA draft and Bird, who is the director of operations at Indiana and personally witnessed Lorbek's sizzling performance in Bologna, will give serious consideration to select him this summer.

Lorbek is in his second season at Bologna after playing a year at American college basketball powerhouse Michigan State.

"I knew him (Lorbek) from his time at Michigan State," said Bird.

"In Europe he has made progress and looks more confident on the court."
