Germany coach Dirk Bauermann has been forced to recall Misan Nikagbatse to the squad and put Jan-Hendrik Jagla on standby with three key players still unable to play because of injury problems.
Nikagbatse, a player on their bronze-medal winning side at FIBA World Championship 2002, was a suprise cut last week but now the Vertical Vision Cantu has been given a chance to impress again.
The Germans, beaten by Greece in the Supercup at the weekend in Braunschweig, have friendlies scheduled in Valencia, Spain from September 2-3, and in Athens from September 5-7.
Femerling is unavailable after athroscopic surgery. Nino Garris (foot) and Mithat Demirel (knee) are also still out.
