Bulgaria international Filip Videnov is on his way to Italy's top-flight side Solsonica Rieti.

The 1.96m guard, who is 27, played at EuroBasket 2005 in Serbia & Montenegro with Bulgaria and he will be contending for a place in new national team coach Pini Gershon's side that will attempt to qualify for the 2009 event in Poland.

Videnov was a former player with the Kentucky Wildcats in American college basketball. He played last season at ACB side Cajasol Sevilla after a brief spell at Real Madrid.

He has also played at Tekelspor and Nancy.

Rieti are 13^th in Lega A with nine wins and 11 defeats.
