In Lithuania, they call him "The Baltic Pippen" and the comparison is accurate. Like the legendary Chicago star, Siskauskas – who was a boxer not a basketball player in his childhood – is a physical forward who can easily contribute both on offense and defense as a guard, on the wing and also in the paint. His excellent leaping ability and quickness make him a surprising shot blocker and one of the best one-on-one players in Europe. He is the best defensive player on the National Team. A severe hand fracture in October 1999 jeopardized his career, but he came back stronger than ever to stun European scouts in a Semi-final game of the 2000 Saporta Cup against Virtus Bologna where he scored 19 points. In the game, he was 5-of-8 from three-point range. He also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots. After fighting some minor injuries in the beginning of the past season, Siskauskas raised his game again, averaging 18 points and five rebounds in a playoff series against Dynamo Moscow and was named Euroleague April MVP. His defensive approach and ability to create his own shot still makes him one of the top players for the National Team, especially the when game is on the line.
