Career: Virginia Commonwealth (NCAA, 1998-2002), Strasbourg (France-Pro A, 2002), Aris Thessaloniki (Greece-ESAKE, 2002-04), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2004-05).
Relatively unknown before EuroBasket 2003, Fedor Likholitov was one of the most pleasant surprises of the competition showing great physical abilities that made him a regular feature on game’s highlights, with his spectacular dunks and blocks... The former junior national team player played five seasons in the United States in high school and then at Virginia Commonwealth, averaging 10.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in his senior season and making his conference All-defensive team... But his European debut were extremely quiet with Strasbourg (1.0 ppg in six minutes). The following season in Greece was far better as he won the FIBA Europe Champions Cup in 2003 with Aris... Likholitov is coming off a disappointing season with Dynamo Moscow (4.1 ppg in the ULEB Cup in a limited playing time).
