 Sven Schultze

Career: Bamberg (Germany-Bundesliga, 1995-98), Berlin (Germany-Bundesliga, 1998-2002), Leverkusen (Germany-Bundesliga, 2002-05), Milano (Italy-Lega, 2006-07).

Sven Schultze used to get called a “poor man’s Dirk Nowitzki” but the 2.06 m forward could never follow in his huge footsteps. At age 29 it turned out that being a go-to-guy was never Schultze’s destiny. In his second year for Armani Jeans Milano he proved his real value as a red-hot shooter who clicks in when ever needed. With his accurate three-point shot and his emotional style he can be a perfect fit for any team. Getting in foul trouble early has been a problem but the two years in Italy have helped him to stay focused even when times get rough. The Bamberg native doesn’t think twice when left open but he also fulfils the duties of a role player. When placed on the bench, Schultze constantly cheers on his teammates.
