PLAYER PROFILE

Pascal Roller

Career: Freiburg (Germany-2.Bundesliga, 1996-97), Freiburg (Germany-Bundesliga, 1997-99), Frankfurt Skyliners (Germany-Bundesliga, 1999-2006), Biella (Italy-Lega, 2006-07)

After missing two EuroBaskets (2001, 2003) due to injuries and playing a limited role at the World Championships in Indianapolis (2002), Pascal Roller was close to finishing his national team career before it even started. Then he finally got healthy in 2005 and showed his potential in Belgrade. Despite being one of the smallest players on the team, Roller dominates with his speed and accurate shooting. His three-point shot is even purer than Nowitzki`s. At age 29, Roller decided to leave Frankfurt where he was the key player for seven consecutive years and moved to Italy (Biella) where he sees limited minutes but has added new experiences to his repertoire, a fact that should pay off in the summer. A matured Roller with fresh legs is just what coach Bauermann needs.
