Lithuania had the tallest players and during the first quarter they dominated inside. The statistics show that Lithuania grabbed 13 rebounds, to compare with Israel's 3. Israel tried to play a fast and intense game, but often ended up with no passing alternatives and were forced to try to attack the rim by themselves. Not an easy solution when you are 30 centimetres shorter than your opponent.
The quality of the game sunk in the second quarter. Israel's problem continued. Only six points during ten minutes say a lot about the difficulties they had. Lithuania used the whole team, and coach Antanas Sireika put some of his strongest names on the bench. But an inspired Arvydas Macijauskas was allowed to play and poured in some great 3-pointers. Lithuania extended the lead, and Israel seemed far away.

It felt like the game was already over when the last quarter started, and both teams seemed to have their concentration on the important games on Sunday. Israel need to win against Latvia, otherwise the tournament will be over.
Lithuania will play Germany in the group final. The perfomance agaist Israel was a good show. Lithuania were sharper in every aspect of the game. That is why they won by 32 points.
